We record our gameplay videos using OBS
It's free, powerful, and integrates well with Stream Deck for managing the recordings in real time
Tom records his 1440p gameplay downscaled to 1080p
This not only saves space, but as the final product will be exported at 1080p, also saves processing capacity
Output settings:

Audio Encoder - FFmpeg AAC
Rate Control - CBR
Bitrate - 20000 Kbps

We use Davinci Resolve to edit or videos
Having moved from the paid version of Premiere Pro over to the free version of Davinci was relatively painless and it's a really powerful video editor
It includes colour grading, audio balancing and integrated video transitions
The Studio version of the software is $300 and will be the next upgrade the channel invests in as it unlocks not only new effects, but also reduces the rendering time on videos by two-thirds
This would allow us to make more videos more quickly and add value to the content itself
If you've ever wanted to try video editing, Tom really recommends Davinci Resolve as a powerful free option to dip your toe into
Channel Thumbnails, other than those we commission, are created in Krita
Again, it's free to use, and includes many of the powerful tools that you'd find in paid-for software
Being able to export transparent layers, merge and transform assets allows quick work for most images we create
The thumbnail for our Farm Sim Survival Series, imitating the famous American Gothic painting is one created with this software
There are also brush packs available from talented artists (paid-for) and it works brilliantly with graphics tablets
If Tom were a better artist he would spend much more time in this application, again, he highly recommends it if you're just starting out
